The Regional AAP Working Group (AAP WG) serves as a coordination platform to strengthen collective accountability to affected populations across the Eastern, Horn, and Southern Africa region. Its purpose is to guide and support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of regional AAP initiatives in collaboration with humanitarian actors, ensuring that responses are responsive, inclusive, and people centered. To achieve this, the Working Group provides technical support to country-level coordination mechanisms, advances regional advocacy on AAP with key stakeholders, facilitates cross-border initiatives that enhance participation and communication among affected populations, and promotes collaboration with related regional platforms.
