Between 1 and 2 May, several hours of heavy rainfall caused extensive flooding across Jowhar District and nearby villages, swiftly impacting multiple IDP sites and surrounding host communities. The flooding resulted in the submergence of shelters and communal areas, increasing protection risks for already vulnerable populations.
