This report by the World Bank examines the welfare impact of hosting refugees in Ethiopia, one of the largest refugee-hosting countries in the world. Identification comes from a large spatial difference in within-village temporal changes in refugee intensity, following a recent upsurge in the flow of refugees into the country. This work is part of the program “Building the Evidence on Protracted Forced Displacement: A Multi-Stakeholder Partnership''. The program is funded by UK AID, from the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and it is managed by the WB and was established in partnership with UNHCR.
