Jordan attended the international \"Friends of Syria\" conference in Tunisia on the unrest in Syria. Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh insisted that the Kingdom does not support foreign military intervention and explained to Jordanian Senators that “Jordan does not interfere in any country’s affairs. UNHCR Jordan is continuing in its efforts to lower the barriers to registration in response to concerns that vulnerable Syrians were unable to cover the cost of travelling to Amman. This weekend, UNHCR organised transportation for a number of Syrians residing in Al Mafraq, in the north of Jordan, to BO Amman. During the reporting period, UNHCR implementing partner, Caritas, carried out a distribution in Mafraq in the north of Jordan. The distribution package included blankets, mattresses, school kits, hygiene kits and sanitation kits along with other much needed household items. The Ramtha Transit Facility is increasingly under pressure as the number of individuals and families crossing the border illegally continues to rise. Figures for Ramtha have now exceeded 1,000 individuals with temporary shelters erected on-site.
