To enhance participatory approaches in programming across the MENA region, the MENA Regional Bureau in consultation with colleagues, partners and communities, has supported the development of an innovative digital tool which can be used online and offline, as well as in an asynchronous manner. The tool uses the KoBo platform to collect data and PowerBI to generate the data analysis. As at mid-year 2022, four MENA operations (Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt) have used the tool. This tool assists UNHCR and partners to systematically document and record quantitative and qualitative findings from participatory interventions with communities. The tool then generates data-based information to assist operations in their analysis and ensure that the views and opinions of diverse communities are documented and inform the OMCprogramme cycle.
