On 11 May 2023, a rapid protection assessment was conducted on the Borota site, hosting an influx of about 30,000 Sudanese, mostly women and children. This brings the total number of new Sudanese refugees arriving in Chad to 60,000 since the beginning of the crisis. Priority needs remain Shelter, NFI, Dignity Kit, Food, Education, WASH and Health Care.
