A presentation on an upcoming pilot study funded by IPA’s Displaced Livelihoods Initiative that will be conducted in collaboration with Community Empowerment for Rural Development. The research study will cover a randomized evaluation in Uganda to measure whether formal land rental contracts between refugee tenants and host community landlords improves trust, social cohesion, agricultural practices, and food security. It will also investigate why formalized land rental contracts are not more widespread in rural Uganda. In this session we will hear more about the problem the research aims to uncover and the approach and will get to contribute to the process by sharing our experiences and asking questions.
