In Aru, Goma and Kananga, UNHCR sub and field offices used CBI to help some IDPs and returnees to build their shelters. In Masisi, despite the suspension of banks and the ongoing armed conflict, UNHCR still managed to provide cash to 4,360 IDPs Households. In Gbadolite, Kalemie and Kinshasa, refugees and returnees were given cash to purchase school fees and hygienic items, as well for livelihood activities and reintegration purposes.
