UNHCR continues to observe a high proportion of women and children crossing from Lebanon to Syria, with 60% of arrivals under 18. Of the 276,000 individuals who have crossed, over 5,500 have specific needs, including 1,300 with disabilities. UNHCR and partners provide relief, health, and protection services through outreach teams and 114 community centers. The Syrian Higher Relief Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, is coordinating efforts to assist Lebanese arrivals with health and food support. The Ministry of Health reported that 35,000 arrivals have received free medical care. The UNHCR Representative visited hosting centers and border crossings to assess needs and improve support.
