South Sudan grapples with ongoing conflict, inter-communal violence, and extreme food insecurity while hosting 1.8 million internally displaced persons and facing increasing returns. Amid these challenges, the country has also seen its refugee population almost doubled since the onset of the Sudan crisis, hosting 506,198 refugees and asylum-seekers as of November 2024, with a further 150,000 new arrivals projected in 2025. The 2025 South Sudan Country Refugee Response Plan (RRP) addresses the complex humanitarian needs of these refugees and asylum-seekers alongside host communities across key refugee-hosting areas in South Sudan. With a total financial requirement of USD 467.8 million, the plan mobilises the efforts of 48 partners, including UN agencies, international NGOs, and national NGOs, to deliver critical protection, assistance, and solutions. This coordinated response underscores the ongoing commitment to ensuring the dignity, safety, and resilience of refugees and their host communities. The 2025 RRP
