• As of 15 December, almost 80,000 people- including some 8,000 Burundians - had arrived in Burundi since 6 December. The situation among new arrivals is dire, with acute needs and vulnerabilities reported across sectors. The protection and health situation remains a particular concern, with new arrivals facing inadequate access to shelter, food, water and sanitation both during their journey to Burundi and upon arrival.
