The United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) will deploy a short-term monitoring mission to Uvira, South Kivu, following the 2 February Qatar-mediated agreement between the DRC Government and Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC/M23) to operationalize a ceasefire monitoring and verification mechanism.
