In 2025, P21 monitoring at Chad's eastern borders documented the profiles, displacement dynamics, and protection risks of 35,099 households (107,574 individuals) newly arrived from Sudan, representing 61% of annual arrivals. The report confirms that the Sudanese crisis, now in its third year, continues to generate massive displacement in a context of persistent violence and lack of access to economic opportunities, leading many households to leave their area of residence after exhausting their means of survival.
