UNHCR's operations in the Central African Republic (CAR) are based on protection through presence, a central pillar of the humanitarian response. In a context marked by security volatility and the repercussions of the Sudanese crisis, particular attention is also being paid to emergency response. At the same time, the search for durable solutions is a major priority, by supporting the voluntary, safe and dignified return of Central African refugees, while ensuring their sustainable reintegration and their contribution to national development.
