Kindly find attached a report on a participatory protection assessment, which took place in Adamawa State in October 2018. The extensive assessment was conducted by the Adamawa Protection Sector Working Group in an effort to gain better understanding of the current protection situation in Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, and Mubi South LGAs and make appropriate recommendations. The assessment involved a total of 84 focus group discussions (FGDs) and 28 key informant interviews (KIIs) held in 14 randomly selected communities. Severe protection issues including drug abuse, challenges with access to education and medical assistance, sexual and gender-based violence, high numbers of unaccompanied minors and separated children, child headed-households, and challenges with access to justice were identified. The situation in the 4 LGAs where assessments took place requires robust and urgent interventions.
