The refugee population stands at 314,938 individuals (67,673 households) and there are 3,769 asylum seekers (2,993 households) in South Sudan. The total comes to 318,707 individuals (70,666 households). 52.3% of the refugees are female. Women and children represent 81.2% of the total refugee population. The Sudanese refugee population remains the largest at 291,632 individuals (92.6%), followed by DRC Congo 16,556 individuals (5.3%), Ethiopia 4,198 individuals (1.3%), Central African Republic 2,181 individuals (0.7%), and 370 individuals (0.1%) from other nationalities.
