Nay Pyi Taw, 5 June— Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Lower House Thura U Shwe Mann received the Karen National Union delegation led by Chairman Saw Mutu Sae Po at Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday
morning.
The speaker said the president was paving the way for peace, while the Tatmadaw was participating in the process with the Hluttaw supporting it.
Thura U Shwe Mann, on behalf of the Hluttaw, greeted the KNU delegation.
Lower House Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann also met with U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker and South Korea Foreign Minister Mr Yun Byung-se separately in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
Thura U Shwe Mann and the delegation exchanged their views on economic and political reforms and the further strengthening of relations between the countries. MNA
