U Nan Ri, from the committee member of Kayan culture and literature voiced that salary for Kayan language teachers need to be solved out by the Govnt support to the teachers who’re now teaching in the government schools.
“We have started teaching since 2013-2014 school years. The Govrnt said that they would support each teacher 30,000 Kyats per a month but teachers are not paid until now. Hereafter, salary is piquantly needed to be able to continue of Kayan language teaching” said U Nan Ri.
Started from the 2013-2014 school years, ethnic languages are allowed to teach in the government schools by the State and with that factual, Kayah, Kayan, Kayaw language are officially agreeing.
