    UNITY

    The Ukrainian Association "Unity" is a women-led nonprofit organization in Budapest dedicated to supporting Ukrainians through cultural, educational, and social initiatives. Since the start of the russian war in Ukraine, our mission has been to integrate displaced individuals into the local community through culture, create a welcoming environment, and support mental well-being. We focus on families and children through initiatives such as the Weekend School, the Ukrainian Children's Music Studio, and long-term educational projects like E-space, Eco-space, and E-Kindergarten. For talented youth and adults, we offer Art’E Creative Hub and the Talent Center, providing artistic and therapeutic activities that foster socialization and preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage. Through partnerships with international, Ukrainian, and Hungarian organizations, we expand opportunities, strengthen community bonds, and help individuals adapt while maintaining their identity and emotional well-being.

    U-Learn

    U-Learn is designed to promote improved outcomes for refugees and host communities in Uganda. In collaboration with government and a wide range of implementers and stakeholders, U-Learn focuses on facilitating learning, conducting assessments, and amplifying refugee voice and choice in the protracted refugee crisis. U-Learn is an NGO consortium delivered by Response Innovation Lab (hosted by Save the Children), International Rescue Committee, and IMPACT Initiatives and is funded by UKAID.

    Ukrainian Space Daycare Program is an educational center for Ukrainian schoolchildren whose families ended up in Budapest due to the war. Our goal is to promote the preservation of the native language, traditions of the Ukrainian people and the mastery of the school curriculum by children from Ukraine, to familiarize them with the culture and customs of the Hungarian people, and to contribute to the creation of conditions for a high-quality standard of living for internally displaced persons from Ukraine in Hungary.

    The Ukrainian Refugee Education Center (UREC) is a grassroots, refugee-women-led organization in Hungary, established to support Ukrainian refugee children aged 3-17. It provides safe, high-quality educational and psychological support, helping children adapt to the Hungarian system while maintaining their national identity through the Ukrainian curriculum. Led by dedicated Ukrainian teacher-volunteers, UREC is fully inclusive, offering specialized support for children with special educational needs. Prioritizing both mental and physical health, it provides sports activities, healthy meals, and psychological care to ensure children's well-being. UREC also supports the refugee parent community by offering psychological aid, language courses, and food assistance. All services are provided for free.
