Working Group Description

UNHCR leads the Durable Solutions Working Group (DSWG) as a central coordination forum, bringing together NGOs, UN agencies, donors, and embassies to exchange information and develop a shared understanding of return trends, challenges, and policy developments. The DSWG is supported by regular written updates, community pulse reports, and frequently asked questions circulated via the list-serv, helping to strengthen collective awareness, align messaging, and promote coherence in a rapidly evolving operational context. To complement this strategic coordination, UNHCR also established and chairs the Operational Durable Solutions Working Group (Ops-DSWG), a technical forum comprising 17 partners implementing durable solutions programming in Jordan. The Ops-DSWG seeks to enhance operational collaboration across interlinked workstreams while supporting the identification of programmatic gaps and the joint development of practical tools such as outreach materials, service mappings, and FAQs.
