The Cash Working Group (CWG) under the Lebanon Response Plan (LRP) is the coordination platform for all agencies implementing cash-based interventions in Lebanon. The group aims to promote harmonized, principled, and effective cash assistance to support vulnerable populations in meeting their basic needs in a dignified and flexible manner, both in regular programming and during emergency responses. Cash assistance includes multipurpose cash and sector-specific cash transfers, enabling households to prioritize expenditures according to their needs while maximizing the efficiency and impact of humanitarian resources. The CWG works to ensure coherence across programmes, alignment with national systems, and adherence to agreed standards and guidance.
