The Gender-Based Violence Working Group (GBV WG) supports a comprehensive and coordinated approach to GBV, including risk mitigation, prevention, care and support, and efforts to hold perpetrators accountable. The GBV WG ensures prioritizing life-saving activities for survivors of GBV and implementation of impactful prevention activities aiming at longer-term attitudinal and social norm changes that contribute or result in GBV. Through mainstreaming and risk mitigation of GBV in all humanitarian sectors, the GBV WG also contributes to a shared vision and integrated strategies among humanitarian stakeholders ensuring survivor-centred and rights-based approaches. This section of the portal is designed to host the coordination documents including strategies, minutes of the monthly meetings, core sectoral guidance and GBV trend analysis through the GBV IMS.
